A bit about the face behind Teaching Little Gems
Life’s Lesson Plan
For me, life has always been been centered around learning. I am the sort of person that shoots first and asks questions later in the spirit of learning. I recently attended a conference where a key note speaker summed it up perfectly. Jim Sill said if the first time you tried something and it worked out... you over thought it. You are supposed to not be good at something the first time, but its is from there on in that you will learn, build upon your skills and develop understandings. I believe that students of today, particularly in regard to technology are students who do this without realising. Too many times than I can count, I've proven this to colleagues and family members who ask me how to do something to do with technology. Let me tell you: trial and error and just having a go is how I got there. Don't be afraid, take risks with your learning and you will also develop growth mindset along the way without realising it!
